Most respected economists knew this was coming, of course. The argument that “trickle-down” economics helps anyone but the very rich has been obvious for years. Libertarian buzzwords like “small government” and “job creators” sound good, but people quickly discover that those taxes they hate paying provide services they love using like schools, fire departments, and roadwork. You cannot simply cut one without damaging the effectiveness of the other.

Worried About The Stock Market? Whatever You Do, Don’t Sell.

Every one of those declines has been followed by a rebound. Sometimes it comes right away. Sometimes it takes weeks or months. But when it comes, it comes quickly. If you wait until the rebound is clearly visible, you’ve already missed the biggest gains.
