Rooting for the Pilot to Fail

One of my friends posted this on Facebook, and I can't help but think the letter writer has missed the whole point.

If I got on a plane and the pilot started making racist and sexist remarks, inventing derogatory nicknames for the rest of the crew, belittling half the passengers, boasting of his skills, and complaining about the water pressure in the toilets...I wouldn't root for him to fail, but I also wouldn't just let it go. I'd let the airline know about his behavior, and I would expect the pilot to be disciplined or fired.

And maybe this is unfair, but I would also question the judgment of the people who hired such a pilot. It doesn't matter how good he is at the physical act of flying the plane; if he has this much disrespect for everyone around him, he should probably be carrying freight, not passengers.

And finally, I'd fly a different airline the next time, and tell everyone I know to do the same. Stay away from Trump Air!
